Rules for Admission To The First Year Of Two Year Diploma Course In Pharmacy(D.Pharmacy)
1.0 SANCTIONED INTAKE:
There shall be total intake sixty (60) seats available for admission to F.Y. D. Pharmacy. No admission above sanctioned intake.
For admission to the First Year Diploma in Pharmacy course, the candidate should have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (Std. XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, or any other examination declared by the said Board to be equivalent thereto, with and in (1) Physics (2) Chemistry, (3) Biology or Mathematics (4) English.
The reservation shall be in accordance with the Hon. Supreme Court judgment dated 31/10/2002 in W. P. (C) No. 317 of 1993 and directives of the State Government from time to time.
4.0 FILLING & SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORM
4.1 Availability of Application forms:
Application forms will be available for aspiring candidates from administrative office of the college during office hours on payment of necessary fees.
4.2 Filling of the application form:
Candidate should carefully read the Information Brochure, Rules of admission & Application form and fill in full & block letters only. Candidates need to submit in the filled application on or before the last date of submission to authorised person in the office and obtain the receipt of the same.
4.3 Documents required at the time of submission of application:
4.3.1. All candidates:
Attested photocopies of
S.S.C. (Std. X) marks sheet.
H.S.C. (Std. XII) marks sheet.
School /College-Leaving Certificate after passing H. S. C. (Std. XII)
Gap certificate if required.
Domicile/ Nationality certificate
Non creamy layer certificate if required
Income certificate if required
4.3.2. Backward class candidates belonging to SC/ST/ VJ/DT/NI1/NT2/OBC/SBC Categories:
Attested photocopy of Caste Certificate & Caste Validity Certificate (compulsory)
4.3.3- Seats for NRI / PIO / Foreign Nationals / Foreign Students / Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries:
15% of the sanctioned Intake Capacity seats may be available over and above the regular intake in the institutes for the children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries and NRI / PIO /Foreign Nationals / Foreign Students subjected to the approval of AICTE before the last date of admission process. 1/3rd of the 15% of these seats shall be reserved for children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries and 2/3rd of the 15% of these seats shall be reserved for the PIO/ Foreign Nationals etc.
4.3.4- Seats available for OMS candidates:
The seats remaining vacant, if any, in Un-Aided Polytechnics, after offering admissions to all Maharashtra candidates on the merit list will be offered to the eligible candidates from the states other than Maharashtra State as per the following guidelines.
All OMS candidates will be considered as general category candidates and will have to fulfill the eligibility criteria as mentioned in Rule 2.0 for open category candidates
These admissions are made on the basis of Inter se merit of the OMS candidates.
The head of concerned unaided institute shall effect these admissions.
The total number of OMS candidates so admitted should not exceed 20% of the sanctioned intake for any course in the institute
The eligible candidates as per their order of merit shall be called for an interview & verification of original documents. As per the order of merit and availability of seats, the candidates shall be offered admission to F.Y. D. Pharm.
6.0 MODE OF PAYMENT OF FEES:
The candidate who has been offered seat shall confirm his or her admission by paying tuition & other fees in the form of D. D. The D. D. shall be made in name of "The Principal, Seth Govind Raghunath Sable College of Pharmacy (Poly) ", payable at Saswad. However, admission shall be considered as final only after submission of necessary original documents.
7.0 FEES, CONCESSION, CANCELLATIONS & REFUND:
7.1 Fees prescribed:
The annual tuition, non-tuition and other fees to be paid at the time of admission are as shown above.
7.2 Hostel fee:
In case of candidates opting for hostel accommodation, fees shall be notified separately.
7.3 M.S.B.T.E. fee:
The candidates shall be required to pay Enrollment and Examination fees as prescribed by the M.S.B.T.E. Mumbai from time to time.
7.4 Caution Money Deposit (CMD) :
Caution money deposit received from the students shall be refunded after successfully completion of the course or after cancelling the admission. Unless there is any recovery, no deduction shall be made from CMD. However, amount of CMD shall be transferred to Students Aid Fund, if candidate doesn't apply for refund, within one account year after the student actually leaves the institution or successful completion of the course which ever is earlier.
7.5 Cancellation of Admission:
a) The candidate should have taken admission by paying necessary tuition fee and should have submitted original certificates before he/she applies for cancellation. In case candidate fails to submit any of the original documents within the allowed time limit, the admission shall be treated as cancelled. Refund of fees shall not be applicable to such candidates.
b) The candidate desirous of cancelling admission shall apply for cancellation in the proforma available in administrative office.
c) The candidate cancelling admission shall forfeit the candidature and no longer be considered for the admission offered by the Principal during the current year and fees shall be refunded to the candidate after deducting an amount as prescribed in the rules.
7.6 Issue of College Leaving Certificate :
If during the course of studies, a candidate desires to discontinue studies for any reason whatsoever, he or she shall be allowed to do so and it shall be presumed that he or she has cancelled admission at that stage. The Principal shall issue College Leaving Certificate and fees shall be refunded as provided in these rules.
7.7 Refund of Tuition Fees after Cancellation of Admission :
The rules & schedule for refund of fees shall be displayed on notice board in due course of time.
8.1 The Medium of instruction for Diploma Course in Pharmacy is English.
8.2 Admission of candidate who has been admitted to F.Y.D. Pharm. Course will be treated as finally confirmed only on grant of the Eligibility from the M.S.B.T.E Mumbai.
8.3 Physical fitness : The Principal at his discretion may refer any candidate to the appropriate medical authority for ascertaining the physical fitness of the candidate to undergo the requirements of the course. The report of medical authority shall be submitted to the Regional Head of Technical Education for the further necessary action. It is to be noted that physically handicapped candidates are not provided with any additional facilities as far as the academic activities pertaining to the course is concerned.
9.0 HOSTEL ACCOMMODATION :
Accommodation cannot be guaranteed to all the candidates admitted. Hostel fees payable etc. should be ascertained by the students from the Rector of the Hostel on admission.The applications of physically handicapped candidates, sons and daughters of Jammu and Kashmir migrants shall be considered sympathetically on priority.
10.0 CONDUCT AND DISCIPLINE:
10.1 Notwithstanding anything contained in these Rules, if the Govt. takes any policy decision pertaining to first year Pharmacy admission, then same shall be brought in to effect at that point of time as per the directives from the Govt. from time to time.
10.2 The students while studying in the college, if found indulging in anti-national activity contrary to the provisions of Acts and Laws enforced by Government or in any activity contrary to rules of discipline, will be liable to be expelled from the college without any notice by the Principal.
10.3 Action against ragging :
Maharashtra Prohibition of Ragging Act 1999 which is in effect from 15th May 1999 has the following provisions for Action against Ragging.
Ragging within or outside of the college is prohibited.
Whomsoever directly or indirectly commits, participates in abets, or propagates ragging within or outside the college shall, on conviction, be punished with imprisonment for a term upto 2 years and / or penalty which may extend to ten thousand rupees.
Any student convicted of an offence of ragging shall be dismissed from the college and such student shall not be admitted in any other educational institution for a period of five years from the date of order of such dismissal.
Whenever any student or as the case may be, the parent or guardian or a teacher of the college complaints, in writing of ragging to the Principal, the enquiry shall made into the matter mentioned in the complaint and if, prima facie it is found true, the student who is accused of the offence, shall be suspended and the complaint shall be immediately forwarded to the police station having jurisdiction.
10.4 If any of the statement made in application form or any information supplied by the candidate in connection with his or her admission is later on at any time, found to be false or incorrect, his or her admission will be cancelled, fees forfeited and he or she may be expelled from the college by the Principal.
10.5 Undertaking :
All candidates who have applied for admission shall be deemed to have submitted the following undertaking
a) I have read all the Rules of Admission and after understanding these rules thoroughly, I have filled in the application form for admission for the current year.
b) The information given by me in my application is true to the best of my knowledge and belief. I understand that if any of the statements made by me in the application form or any information supplied by me in connection with my admission is later on at any time, found to be false or incorrect, my admission will be cancelled, fees forfeited and I may be expelled from the college by the Principal.
c) I have not been debarred from appearing at any examination held by any Government constituted or Statutory examination authority in India.
d) I fully understand that the offer of a course will be made to me depending on my inter se merit and availability of a seat at the time of scrutiny of my application, when I will actually report to the admission authority according to the schedule of admission.
e) I understand that no document after the last date of submission will be entertained for the purpose of claims or concessions etc. in connection with my admission unless otherwise mentioned in the rules.
f) I am fully aware that the Admission authority or its representative may or may not make any correspondence with me regarding admission. I am also aware that it is entirely my responsibility to see the notice on the notice board.
g) I am fully aware that any rule imposed by the M.S.B.T.E. such as 'imposing limits on the number or attempts permissible to pass any examination' shall be binding on me.
h) I hereby agree to confirm to any Rules, Acts and Laws enforced by Government and I hereby undertake that, I will do nothing either inside or outside the college which may result in disciplinary action against me under these rules, acts and laws referred to.
i) I fully understand that the Principal of the college has a right to expel me from the college for any infringement of the rules of conduct and discipline prescribed by the college or MSBTE Board or Government and the undertaking given above.
j) Condition of minimum attendance : I am fully aware that I will not be allowed to appear for the examination if I do not attend minimum 75 percent attendance in theory, & 100 percent attendance in practicals, etc. I am also aware that I will not be allowed to appear for the examination, if I fail to submit satisfactorily all the assignments, journals, reports as specified by the M.S.B.T.E. within stipulated time limit.
11.0 ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR OUTSIDE MAHARASHTRA STATE CANDIDATES:
OMS candidates shall submit their applications on or before the last date prescribed by the Admission Authority.
OMS candidates will be considered only in open category, even if they belong to reserved category in their state. No relaxation is allowed in eligibility criteria.
If any document to be produced is in the language other than Marathi, Hindi or English, candidates shall produce its English translation duly attested by an Executive Magistrate or the Principal of the Institute.
OMS candidates shall remain present personally for admission. No proxy will be allowed even if a candidate authorizes any other representative. If the candidate remains absent as per the schedule, he or she shall forfeit claim for admission.
OMS candidates shall produce original school/college leaving certificate of the institute last attended at the time of admission & migration certificate from concern board/authority. If the candidate has taken admission in any other institute, he or she shall produce a certificate from the Head of the institute stating that the original certificates have been retained by the Institute. Without such a certificate, no candidate shall be considered for admission.
No duplicate-leaving certificate will be accepted.
12.0 TRANSFER AFTER ONE YEAR:
The following rules are applicable in general to Diploma Course in Pharmacy :
a) The candidate once admitted in first year shall not be transferred to any Govt./ Govt.Aided/ Unaided Pharmacy college in any case in accordance with the policy laid down in G.R. of Education and Employment Department No. TEM/3382/111836/(190)/TE-1A,dated 21st May 1983. However, the candidate from Govt./ Govt. Aided/ Unaided Pharmacy college may seek transfer to this college.
b) In case of transfer of candidates aspiring for a change of college, the candidate passing the first year examination in full and not with A.T.K.T., shall apply in writing to the Principal. The decision of Principal to issue NOC for such transfers shall be final and binding.
